President’s Message
It is with great pleasure and sincere appreciation that I serve as your President of the Coastal Bend Chapter of TAPT for 2026–2027.
One of the things I value most about our chapter is the camaraderie we have built over the years with our neighboring school districts, transportation professionals, and our valued vendor partners. What makes this organization special is that we are more than colleagues—we are a community of people who understand the challenges, responsibilities, and rewards that come with serving the students and families in our communities.
The Coastal Bend Chapter provides us with a wonderful opportunity to come together, share ideas, learn from one another, build professional relationships, and continue strengthening the pupil transportation industry. I am proud to have been a part of this chapter and especially excited to see how much we have grown in membership and participation over the past several years.
As we begin this new year, our goal is to continue that growth by reaching out to our neighboring districts and welcoming new transportation professionals into our TAPT family. We want to create an organization where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and connected—a family we can depend on, not only when things are going well, but especially when we face the challenges that come with our profession.
I encourage each of you to get involved, attend our meetings, share your knowledge, ask questions, and take advantage of the relationships and learning opportunities our chapter provides. Together, we can continue to build a stronger transportation community and make a lasting impact on the students and districts we proudly serve.
